Strategic Land

Experienced in advising and representing landowners in the promotion of greenfield residential land.

 

My initial involvement often comprises assessing the potential, advising on marketing strategies and the securing of a party to promote the land. 

 

Once a promoter has been sourced, I advise and negotiate the form of agreement (Option or Promotion) and monitor the promotion once an agreement has been reached.  Subsequently, should planning be achieved I act concerning the ‘price negotiation’ in the instance of an option being exercised, or jointly sell the consented land when the agreement is a promotion agreement.

 

Increasingly, I am brought in at the early stages of a draft agreement when there has been limited agent involvement. In such situations I will seek to improve the position of the landowner, ensuring an agreement is market facing and the landowner ‘safe guarded’.


My experience here is not limited to residential land, as I have successfully represented landowners regarding ‘Development Agreements’ for the promotion of future employment land.  Agreements such as these have a significant level of complexity requiring detailed knowledge.
